Below are the instructions on how to setup your Dial-Up networking to use the NetSector ISP

  • Switch on the computer and when at the Windows XP desktop
  • Go to the Task Bar and select START, CONNECT TO and then SHOW ALL CONNECTIONS
  • At the top left of the connections window select CREATE NEW CONNECTION
  • The Create new connection dialog will open
  • Select NEXT
  • Make sure "Connect to internet" is selected
  • Select NEXT
  • Select "Setup my connection manually" and click NEXT
  • Make sure "Connect using my dial-up modem" is selected and click Next
  • Now you will be asked for the connection name. Change connection name to:

  • Now select NEXT
  • Now you will be asked for the phone number, type in the following phone number:


0845 665 3000

(Use 1470 at the beginning of the number above if your number is withheld)

  • Now select NEXT
  • Now you will be asked for the username, type in the following username:


netsector

  • Now select NEXT
  • Now select FINISH
  • Now double click the netsector connection icon and select DIAL to dial out
